Martha Cohen Stine, a founding partner of Cohen Stine Kapoor LLP, is widely recognized as one of New York’s leading matrimonial and family law attorneys. Ms. Stine earned her B.A., cum laude, from New York University and her J.D., cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as an Editor of the Law Review.

Ms. Stine serves on the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers Association (“NYCLA”), is the immediate past Chair of NYCLA’s Matrimonial Law Section, and sits on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Section. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the NYCLA Foundation. A frequent lecturer and panelist, Ms. Stine regularly organizes and presents Continuing Legal Education programs.

She performs with the renowned Blue Hill Troupe, a Gilbert & Sullivan theater company that donates all ticket-sale proceeds to New York charities, and has also appeared with Utopia Opera, Village Light Opera Group, and Island Lyric Opera. In addition, she produces and directs original musical comedies featuring lawyers and judges, including the March 2026 Twelfth Night performance at the New York City Bar Association honoring Second Circuit Judge Gerard Lynch. Ms. Stine is an active member of the Lotos Club, one of New York’s most distinguished literary and arts clubs, where she serves as Chair of the Music Committee.
